The series of Havoc shows that 8-Lug (and the rest of the truck group at Source Interlink-Truckin', Sport Truck, Diesel Power, and Mini Truckin') puts on is a great place to get your truck noticed by lots of magazine editors. When we added Fresno to the schedule, we weren't really sure what to expect. Would the show be well-attended? Would the trucks be high-quality? Would spectators show up?
All of our questions were answered on Friday when we rolled into town, making it clear that there was a buzz in the air about the show. We could not have been more relieved.
In the end, the accountants say there were more than 375 trucks that registered and more than 1,000 spectators who walked through the doors of the Big Fresno fairgrounds. That's a slam dunk, home run, and gooooooooal (it's hard to write in text how cool that soccer term sounds in person) all in one.
The staff of 8-Lug lurked throughout the show all weekend capturing the best diesel 3/4- and 1-ton trucks with Canon cameras, and even grabbed quite a few features that will be popping up in these pages over the next several issues. Without question, these upcoming issues are going to have some ridiculous trucks for you to read about.
So sit back, get comfortable, and let us take you to Central California to the Fresno Havoc show so you can either relive it or experience it for the first time. And if you don't make plans to be there next year, we have to wonder what's going on in your mind.
