The shelves inside the Speed...
The shelves inside the Speed Shop are lined with all the coolest parts-and you can have them installed at Pep Boys.
Pep Boys has been around for a lot of years the first store opened in Philadelphia in 1921. The original Los Angeles store opened in the '30s, and now there are Pep Boys in 35 states. Times have changed, and it's time for another new twist from the Pep Boys: Speed Shop. Pep Boys recently opened its first dedicated Speed Shop, located at 1200 West Washington Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles.
Customers were invited to check out all that Speed Shop has to offer at its official grand-opening celebration. Custom cars were on display, performance vendors were on hand to show their products, and food and entertainment was there, too. Gale Banks, president and CEO of Banks Power, a leading distributor of diesel and gas performance products, and Meguiar's CEO and Car Crazy TV host, Barry Meguiar, helped commemorate the event.

It's nice having everything...

It's nice having everything out there where you can really get a good look at it.
Combining the old-time feel of traditional speed shops with the latest in performance products and accessories, the location was designed to serve Southern California auto enthusiasts with all they need in performance for their rides-from muscle cars and hot rods to sport compacts and imports to trucks and off-roaders.

There weren't too many diesel...

There weren't too many diesel trucks at the event, but ReadyLift brought out this lifted Ford.
To create this new Speed Shop, Pep Boys enhanced its larger-than-average store on Washington Boulevard in L.A. with performance-related products that can usually only be found online or at independent specialty shops.
Run by dedicated Speed Shop professionals who know their performance products, the location has top-notch items from expert brands like Edelbrock, K&N, and Brembo, as well as:
• Chrome and fashion accessories and lighting
• Off-road racing tires and wheels, plus a nitrogen filling station
• Nitrous systems and a nitrous oxide filling station
• Performance intake and exhaust systems
• Performance ignition, fuel, and internal engine parts
