Many of you know the work of Mike O’Brien through his regular column M.O.B. Scene in 8-Lug HD Truck magazine. Others have discovered the outrageous airbrush art of M.O.B. at shows around the United States and Canada. We’re not sure how Jory Evans connected with M.O.B., but when he took his ’05 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie (with the 5.9L Cummins) into O’Brien’s lair, he knew what the end result was going to be.
The Dodge is a daily-driven work truck that’s also used on the weekends to pull a fifth-wheel trailer and numerous toys to wherever Jory wants to play.
Other than the fully custom airbrushed artwork provided by O’Brien, the truck also has an AFE Stage II cold-air intake, and a 4-inch-to-5-inch straight-pipe Silverline exhaust that runs into dual 6-inch mitered stacks. A Bully Dog Power Pup programmer further adds to the horsepower and torque escalation. The stock transmission hasn’t proven to be up to the task, so Jory has plans to replace it with a full billet transmission and a few other upgrades before installing any more power-adders.
The 6-inch lift kit is from Pro Comp and was installed by Bullseye Offroad in Coaldale, Alberta, Canada. The 20-inch XD Badlands wheels are wrapped with 37-inch Nitto Mud Grapplers installed by Kal Tire in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
This truck really is a beast, as the name suggests. No doubt, it turns heads wherever it goes.
