Kelly Bise is like a man possessed when he's building a truck. His goal with this '05 Dodge dualie? "To build a Pro Street dualie on airbags with big horsepower and style." No simple task there. But Kelly masterminded the project and let the truck know who's the boss, as four months later, he took First in Class and First in Sound Quality (plus, First in SPL, which is basically a blow-your-eardrums-out loudness test).

Kelly is no beginner in the custom vehicle scene. He has built many Z06 Corvettes, outlaw street cars, minis, dualies-just look him up on MySpace and you'll get the idea of what he's all about.

In order to get the Dodge to ride nice and low, Kelly took the truck to Mark and Brian Fehrle at Slaughter House and the fun began. Custom built upper and lower control arms (the uppers were also raised) were combined with Slam RE8 airbags and 1/2-inch lines for a ground-scraping stance. Twenty-inch Intro wheels were outfitted with 22-inch-wide (33 inches tall) Mickey Thompson tires for the perfect look.

The 5.9L diesel engine got a lot of attention, too-mostly from DI Performance. The heads were studded, a two-stage nitrous system was added, and a set of ATS turbos was installed. ATS provided ceramic-coated headers for the engine. The turbos, intake, alternator, and various other parts were dipped in chrome. A Bully Dog programmer with the Crazy Larry tune keeps it all running at optimum performance. ATS provided a five-speed automatic transmission that can handle the ungodly power. Kelly says the engine produces 875 hp and 1,620 lb-ft of torque. SSBC cross-drilled and slotted rotors and monster calipers bring it all back down to reasonable speeds after banzai runs.

The body got its fair share of attention, too, in the form of suicide-style doors, a custom grille shell by Dima Wheels, and smoked headlights. The custom paint was applied by Alamo Customs in Alvin, Texas, while Patrick Reid laid down the graphics.

The interior is off the chain, thanks to Kingpin Kustomz in Dickinson, Texas. A center console holds a 10-inch screen and the seats were wrapped in charcoal leather, gator, and blue suede. Fiberglass subwoofer enclosures built by Kingpin hold four Kicker L7 15-inch speakers, while a pair of Kicker ZX2500.1 amplifiers drive the sound. The highs and mids get their own Kicker ZX650.4 amp. There are three pairs of Kicker SS 6.5-inch component speakers in the truck. The front speakers are in diapalito array, while the rear speakers are mounted coaxially in the top of the rear doors. All of the amps and subs are mounted on backlit Plexiglas. The center console holds all of the amplifiers, NOS solenoids, and purge valves. The entire interior and sound system was completed in six days. Yes, you read that right. S-i-x days. Kelly knows how to get things done!
