When you read the license plate on Jason McCoy's '05 Ford F-350 Super Duty, you have to chuckle. It says "Cunfuzed", but it's clear that he's not. The Ford is everything he ever wanted in a truck, and it took him two years to get it all done right.
The '05 features a tube frame that bolts onto the sub-frame using chrome alloy steel tubing. The truck was lifted a whopping 48 inches and uses custom semi-truck airbags from Goodyear. Big Bear Customs in Salinas, California built the suspension, and Brice Hart gets the nod for putting together a phenomenal package. King racing shocks control the Weld 20x12 Dune wheels and Michelin 52-inch tall tires.
Custom four-link steering keeps the 15 inches of suspension from going wacky while the triangulated four-link front and rear suspension uses King hydraulic bump stops.

The quality craftsmanship on this truck is clearly evident.
Something this big needs a boost to help the truck along the road, so Jason turned to George and Pat at West Coast Diesel for some performance mods. The 6.0L engine has an Edge Proformance chip, 5-inch MBRP exhaust, and an aFe intake. The Garrett turbo puts out 35 pounds of boost. Right Gear built the Sterling rearend with 5:13 gears and an Auburn positraction. South Bay Driveline built driveshafts for the truck and used 2 1/2-ton CVs on the front and rear.
Even though Jason owns a custom suspension shop, he didn't build the truck alone. He gives credit to Tom Artellan for helping with assembly and James Pal for sponsoring the paint, while Escondido Chrome Plating added some flash. Trevor Walker, at Green Valley, was a big help with all the bolts and hardware.
Marina Collision's Tony Declet sprayed the DuPont intricate paint job while Greg Casler handled the graphics.
