Ryan Del Rosal's '08 Ford...
Ryan Del Rosal's '08 Ford F-250 FX4 is about as nice a truck as we've ever seen. Every detail is perfect.
Ryan Del Rosal is a tough looking dude. He's 6'5" and weighs just over 300 pounds. Oh, and he can run the 40 in 4.94 seconds. For those of you who don't keep tabs on college football, that's a ridiculously fast time for an offensive tackle. Playing for Dixie State hasn't allowed for a lot of TV exposure or national fame, but the NFL might be willing to give the guy a shot. One source had him ranked at press time as 11th in the nation (for all divisions) for offensive tackle prospects for the 2010 NFL draft.
Anyone who meets the guy would agree that he deserves a shot. He's polite, considerate, punctual, well-dressed, and obviously knows how to put together a seriously nice truck.
"I have always wanted to build a lifted eight-lug," Ryan told us, "but never saw a truck I liked. When I saw the '08 Ford FX4, I knew that was the one I wanted to build. I wanted a blacked-out truck that was done right. I wanted to lift the truck not just for show, but for everyday use. I built everything so it could function as my daily driver."
38x14 Kumho Road Venture tires...
38x14 Kumho Road Venture tires provide good traction on- and off-road.
The F-250 was lifted using a Pure Performance 12-13-inch lift kit with Pure Performance's four-link system. Custom King remote reservoir coilover shocks up front combine with Fox remote reservoir shocks in the rear for a smooth ride.
The tires, 38x14 Kumho mud terrains, are mounted on black KMC Monster 24-inch wheels. Dual Fox steering stabilizers keep the truck tracking straight.
The headlights, taillights, and fog lights have all been smoked. High-intensity (8,000 k) beams in the headlights and fog lights ensure lots of candle power. A 6.1-inch Pioneer touchscreen head unit sends the signals to the Alpine 6.5 series component speakers all the way around the truck. Custom tweeter cutouts add nice highs, while a super clean custom box houses two 12-inch Pioneer shallow mounts (by Boxworx at Spl2k.com). Alpine PDX amps (PDX 1.1000 and PDX 4.1000) provide lots and lots of power.
Ryan is happy with the way the truck turned out, but naturally he does talk about wishing he'd lifted it a little higher, added a little bit bigger tires, and pumped up the power a little more. Those things will have to wait until he tackles his next truck.
