The bodywork, paint, and powdercoating were accomplished in 2005. Changes began with an '05 front clip with a Reflexxion cowl-induction hood. Details include a SnugTop tonneau cover, Euro lights, and Road Armor front and rear winch bumpers. Auxiliary head and taillights were added to the high-altitude truck to keep it street-legal. Dupont Hot Hues shades of Cosmic Dust Silver, True Blue Candy, and custom Richard Petty Orange dressed up the exterior, sprayed by Kenny Rayburn. Custom graphics were added later by Craig Fisher.
Part of what makes this one...
Part of what makes this one tough truck is the combination of twin four-links, 2 1/2-ton Rockwell military axles with 6.72 gears and rear steer, 3-inch King coilovers on custom brackets, and 49-inch Interco IROK tires on Stazworks 20-inch wheels.
But it's inside where this truck really shines. The interior is a work of art that, rotating between shops, took almost two years to complete. Mobile Audio Concepts did the final installation of one of the most elaborate audiovisual systems we've seen in a lifted truck. The head unit, a Pioneer AVD2, controls the five amplifiers mounted behind the rear seat and alongside the center console, pumping out a combined 4,500 watts. The high numbers are essential, especially when you begin to count the number of speakers mounted in the cab. To begin, the truck is equipped with four 10-inch Kicker L7 subs in the console and one 8-inch in the dash, along with a dozen mids and four tweets located throughout the interior. Thirteen 10-inch monitors add to the fun. The four bucket seats are separated by the custom center console that runs from the dash to above the rear window. The dash, center console, and overhead console are all custom made from fiberglass and everything inside was painted in shades of blue, orange, and silver-once again sprayed by Kenny Rayburn. The Dakota Digital dash adds a soft, blue glow to the cab at night. The complex interior was started in 2006 and finally completed in 2008.
Jonathan is very pleased with the way his truck turned out, saying this one is finished and that he has taken it as far as he can go. He smiles, however, when he says, "The next one will be even bigger than this one!" Special thanks to Kat Kustoms, Mobile Audio Concepts, SnugTop, Kicker, Reflexxion, PermaStar, and MBRP.

Possibly the most elaborate... Possibly the most elaborate audiovisual collection we've ever seen in a lifted truck, this system uses multiple custom-made fiberglass enclosures to hold the 5 subs, 12 mids, 4 tweets, and a lucky 13 monitors. Four bucket seats guarantee passenger comfort. Everything inside this radical truck has been painted or upholstered to match. | The steerable rear axle takes... The steerable rear axle takes this truck to a whole new level, but it's the attention to detail that impresses spectators and passes the closest of inspections. Every inch has been either painted, polished, or chromed. The wheels and rear wheel hub centers look like chrome but are actually powdercoated by PermaStar. | The towering truck, with its... The towering truck, with its 25 inches of lift, attracts attention everywhere it goes, thanks in part to the highly modified suspension, 49-inch tires, and four-wheel steering. The '03 F-250 sports an '05 front clip. Multiple shades of Dupont Hot Hues paint, provided by Speckman Automotive in St. Marys, Ohio, completes the look. |
