Josh Martorano runs a very successful businessbuilding high-end restaurants and other commercial buildings. Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, the company builds all over the United States.
The need for an eight-lug truck is obvious, but Josh figures he might as well drive from job site to job site (sometimes cross-country) in a truck that he really loves and one that gets attention for the company. Plus, he needed something to tow his '70 Chevelle to the SEMA show in Las Vegas. An eight-lug truck was a no-brainer.
Building such a nice ride, however, took a lot of brains. Josh carefully considered all of the parts he wanted to use and the overall effect he was looking for and managed to achieve a stunning result.
The '08 Ford F-250 uses an Icon Vehicle Dynamics 4.5-inch coilover lift with a four-link setup. One Up Offroad traction bars and blocks were added to the kit. ICCE OTR 22-inch wheels were wrapped with Interco's 37-inch tires.
Amp Research Power Steps make it easier to get in and out of the lifted truck, while dual train horns and a Viair compressor ensure no one fails to notice the truck. HID headlights help in this regard, too.
The engine was spiffed up with a Spartan Diesel Technologies 274hp tune, an S&B intake, and a MagnaFlow exhaust. A Carriage Works billet grille improves the looks of the front of the truck, while Recon lights do a great job of making it noticeable at night.
A Pioneer/JL Audio stereo system helps make long drives more entertaining, and the Anderson Manufacturing drop hitch keeps the trailer attached.
