Subscription Wishes 1
Let me say that this is an awesome magazine. I subscribe to your sister magazine Diesel Power. I would like to know why 8-Lug is not available by subscription yet. It seems like every month people are requesting it. I go to my local bookstore to purchase 8-Lug and sometimes it is sold out, and then I need to travel to another store because I do not want to miss an issue. So please consider offering subscriptions. I'm sure I can speak for everyone who would like a subscription to 8-Lug.

We certainly appreciate the compliments, Mike. The reason we don't have subscriptions yet is because they cost the company money. The business model for subscriptions in this industry is to sell the magazine for $10 a year (or something like that) and make up for the loss with advertising revenue. 8-Lug is still too young and developing to be able to handle the initial transition to subscriptions. Sometime-hopefully in the near future-we expect to have subscriptions to 8-Lug.
Subscription Wishes 2
I was wondering if it was possible to subscribe to 8-Lug magazine. I wanted to buy a year's worth for a Christmas present but couldn't find it on the site. I only found a subscription for Diesel Power.

Can you tell me if a subscription is available for 8-Lug HD Truck? If so, what is the website I can order it from? My nephew is interested in receiving a subscription for Christmas.

Congrats on the new magazine 8-Lug. I am interested in subscribing, but I did not see a link on the website where I found your name. Please have someone send me a link to subscribe.

Any Interest?
I just wanted to write to see if your magazine had any interest in a project I am involved in. My friend and I run a company in Woburn, Massachusetts, called Xplicit Racing Design (www.myspace.com.xplicitracingdesign). We are currently in the early stages of swapping a Duramax and Allison trans into our '79 Trans Am. I know it isn't a truck, but it is going to have eight-lug wheels all around using 1-ton differentials.

While your project sounds fascinating, we are committed to showing only trucks in 8-Lug. We've included your MySpace address, however, so that interested readers can check it out.
Love 'Em All
I have three Dodge trucks: a '90 with a Cummins, a '92 with a 360ci V-8, and an '08 with a hemi. I really like all of them, and each has its own personality, but you would have a hard time prying the hemi out of my hands, as it pulls my fifth-wheel camper with ease and sounds great doing it.

And that's exactly why we're now including gas trucks in our mix here at 8-Lug. There's nothing wrong with a gas engine heavy-duty truck.
Feature Me
I am a mobile electronics installer, and I have built an audio demo system in my '02 Ford Excursion. What do I need to do to possibly have it featured in your magazine?

We are always interested in seeing people's projects. Just send a photo or two to our editor at bob.carpenter@sorc.com. Include info about the truck and yourself.
