Duramax DIY
I was wondering if the magazine would be interested in a very easy DIY on a neat new product on the market. It's an adapter that works strictly with the Duramax engine and converts the pain-in-the-ass fuel filter so you can use a much cheaper and easier Cat filter. I believe readers would love such an invention because they can save a lot of money (which is big in today's economy) and also run a much more efficient fuel filter to help their trucks last longer before eventual injector failure.
Rick Macri - Via Email Heck yes, we'd be interested.
Subscriptions?
Hi, how can I subscribe to 8-Lug HD Truck? I can't find a way on the website. I'm already subscribed to Diesel Power and JP magazines and I'm in Italy. Let me know...
Emanuele - Via Email
Now, that's a bummer. We don't have subscriptions yet and you obviously can't just run down to the local Wal-Mart. We do have a website at www.8-Lug.com you might want to check out.
How Much?
How much do you want for the Slamfest '06 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab? Do you all do trade-ins, too? Thanks.

We don't sell trucks here...only magazines.
Love 8-Lug
I have to start by saying that the magazine is probably my favorite of all the diesel magazines available today. There is just one problem, and I know you have heard this a thousand times if you have heard it once. When are we going to be able to get subscriptions to 8-Lug? I live just outside Des Moines, Iowa, and most of the time I have to go to one of big book stores to find your magazine-this is a 20-mile drive for me. We, the 8-Lug fans, have been waiting patiently but our patience is running out. When are we going to be able to get a subscription?
Matt Brunk - Des Moines, Iowa
You bring up a good point, Matt. It's not just a slight inconvenience for many of our readers to be loyal and get a copy at the newsstand every month. The most fervent fans of the magazine deserve better treatment. Sorry, though, we've heard nothing lately about even the possibility of subscriptions.

About You and Your Truck: I bought it to have fun as my first truck. My friends got me hooked on diesels before I had my license, so I used to bomb my dad's Duramax. I finally got enough money to get my own ride, and I've been bombing ever since. I have always loved to go fast and still go off-roading-so what better than diesel?
Wow, not sure how to tell you this Herndon...but you're about 2 months past the deadline for the Diesel Bombers Readers' Rides story.
Black Maxx Redux
JUST AN UPDATE: I raced in Mission, British Columbia, last weekend and ran a 12.52-second pass at 107 mph on my completely stock setup! That makes me the 10th fastest stock diesel truck in the world now-the fastest is a 12.18. I still have some tricks up my sleeve, so I see number one being attainable! Hope all is well at 8-Lug!
Kelsie Epp - Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada Great news, Kelsie. We need to get a full feature shoot going on your truck.
