We Found 8-Lug!
Thank you for your help with trying to find 8-Lug. We found the November and December issues at the Walmart in Summersville, West Virginia. I just hope the store continues to carry it. My husband is really into diesel stuff.

Get Me In!
I would like to inquire about getting my truck in your magazine. It was at the SEMA show this year, and I’m just trying to find out what I need to do.

As we say to anyone who wants to get their truck in 8-Lug, send a couple of photos (not 20!) to bob.carpenter@sorc.com. Include some info about the truck and also tell us about yourself: where you live, why you built the truck the way you did, that sort of thing.
Cool Project Idea
I’m interested in doing a build in your magazine. It will be called “Project Farm Boss.” The basic idea is to create the ultimate farm truck in both power and convenience. I will be using our farm truck: a ‘99 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins. I also have many tractors (new and antique) as well as the fields around our farm to use for the pictorial layout. Please contact me ASAP with any feedback you have.

We get a lot of requests like this. The way to start is to prove to me that you can take magazine-quality photos. I ask everyone to start out by sending me a sample photo and I will check it for size, quality, etc. Email to Bob.Carpenter@sorc.com.
Huge Impact
This letter was sent by January issue cover truck owner Rob Brown to everyone who helped him get his truck done in one way or another. We think that’s cool.
I just wanted to put this out there so you all realize the impact you had on this project and me. I truly do appreciate all the support you have given me and would like to say thank you. It takes some good people to put the trust that you have in me, especially being across the border, in another country. I hope you have found it worth your while, your time, and your efforts after you saw the features, write-ups, car shows, forums, etc. my truck has been included in since our initial agreement. The cover placement was totally unexpected! I truly only thought this was a pipe dream years back, and I hope you enjoy it at least a tenth of the amount I do right now. Please have a look at 8-Lug HD Truck magazine’s website (www.8-Lug.com) for further details and have a look at what a great bunch of people have built over the past few years. 8-Lug has become one of my favorite publications, regardless of my involvement with it. It’s truly a good, all-around heavy-duty truck magazine.
