Smooth Operator Update
The crew over at TS Performance in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is hard at work on the Smooth Operator pickup truck. You might recall from our Apr. '08 story "Smooth Operator," on page 46, that Dennis Perry of TS Performance was building a Cummins-powered Ford in honor of his late friend Joe Webb of SunCoast Diesel Transmissions.
One thing should be straightened out before we go any further. Joe did not die from a diving accident. He had a heart attack while diving and passed away. There's a big difference, especially if you're a diver and already have enough trouble convincing family members that it's a safe sport. We regret the error. Also, we flubbed when we said the truck would use a Ford tranny. It will be rolling down the road with a full-blown SunCoast-built Stage 5 Allison transmission.
While in Kentucky, we stopped by the TS Performance shop and found the boys acting very giddy about some new twin air-to-water intercoolers that had just shown up. Equipped with Meziere Enterprises pumps, the big tanks can flow 2,500 cfm. No expense has been spared on this project and Dennis himself said, "It's plumb-ass out of control . . . in a good way."

WI-FI Fleet/FUEL LOG
