Shirt Scene
The people at Diesel Gear are a great bunch, and we always enjoy their shirts. A bunch of new designs have come out recently, and we thought we'd share a few with the readers of 8-Lug. If you want to see the full line, go to www.dieselgearclothing.com and check it out.
Ranger Rage
Tim Scherer, one of the dudes over at Competitiondiesel.com, has been building a race Ford Ranger for quite some time now. It's a pretty substantial build, and Tim is doing it right. Here's some sneak-peek photos of the truck.
Pep Boys Speed Shop Grand Opening
The original location of the first Pep Boys auto parts store was the scene of a huge grand opening celebration in Los Angeles recently. The occasion marked the opening of the new Speed Shop department within the Pep Boys store. In Speed Shop you will find all kinds of aftermarket parts for cars and trucks. The event had a car show, prizes, a DJ, celebrity attendees, and more. Check out the next issue of 8-Lug for more photos. Or go online to www.8-Lug.com right now, and you won't have to wait.
Still Love to Lease Chrysler
Car shoppers are no longer able to lease vehicles through Chrysler dealers, and the majority of LeaseTrader.com's Chrysler takeover customers have indicated they remain loyal to the manufacturer's vehicle lineup and prefer to continue leasing a vehicle because it is a better fit for their lifestyle compared to outright financing programs.
"Our waiting list for Chrysler leases indicates that people have not fallen out of love with the brand, but they have fallen out of love with their options through the dealer," said Sergio Stiberman, CEO and founder of LeaseTrader.com. "Our Chrysler customers are interested in taking over a vehicle lease through transfer because of the low prices and flexible lease terms they can't find at their local dealer."
Chrysler fans can shop for a lease and customize their search by payment, months remaining, mileage, and even location. LeaseTrader.com's car lease adoption program allows car shoppers to "adopt" a car from another lessee who no longer wants to drive the vehicle-mainly due to economic and financial reasons. The adoption program enables shoppers to pick up the remaining portion of the lease at a lower monthly payment if the first lessee is willing to pick up a portion of the remaining balance.
