Time And Money
“My name is Chris Prestridge. I am 21. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. My truck is a daily driver—not the best of diesel mileage. I have a lot of time and money in it. I buy 8-Lug magazine all the time and have noticed y’all like big trucks. Anyhow, this is a daily driver and I put it in the mud quite often, especially with all of the hurricanes. I almost lost it because of Gustav. Anyway, love to see my truck in your mag.”

Also on the truck are a Stage 2 Floor-It CP-3, F1 Flux injectors, an HTT 66SS turbo, an HTS transmission tuned by Mads Smarty TnT, a TS Performance MP-8, plus a couple of homemade things. It was recently dyno’d at 681 hp and 1,252 lb-ft of torque with an assortment of things to go on this winter such as a custom twin-turbo setup from Area Diesel, twin CP-3s, Hamilton valve springs, and a Helix 2 cam. This rig ran a best of 12.68 e.t. at 110 mph. Its does daily duty pulling a trailer as well as sled pulling and drag racing.
This Is One Slow Tow Pig
“Hi, my name is Zach Grimes from Weatherford, Texas, and here is a short rundown of my truck. I’ve been building it for three years now and there is no turning back. I bought this truck to use as a tow pig, but we all know these trucks aren’t the fastest diesels on the street in stock form. That’s how it got named “Slow Tow Pig.” Since I bought this truck it has had many upgrades and there are many more to come. One day when it’s finished I hope to land a full spread in a mag, but so does everybody else. A few people I would like to thank: Mike’s Trick Shift, Totally Graphic Designs Family, DieselBombers.com, and everybody that’s helped me along the way.” The truck is a ’97 four-door 4x4 shortbed Power Stroke with a 6-inch lift in front, and 9.5 in the rear. It has a custom 5-inch straight-dual with 8-inch tips. It also has a six-position Wildman chip, Bean’s IDM, trans built by Mike’s Trick Shift, D66 turbo, and 35-inch Toyo M/T tires on 20s.
