King Of The Hill
This '96 Dodge Ram belongs to Brett King of Bend, Oregon. It has a 20-inch lift with lots of powdercoating, custom paint, and a pretty cool sound system. This truck has 260,000 miles on the original Cummins engine. Wow. That's all we have to say. Wow.
Reporting For Duty
Pfc Robert Heath loves his '06 Dodge but he hasn't been able to do all that much to it. He said he plans on getting some upgrades like a lift, wheels and tires, and some performance parts-but since he's in the military and has a family, he has a different set of priorities. "When I'm not at work fixing trucks, I'm at home taking care of my family and making sure they have what they need," Robert told us. "I love the magazine, and keep up the good work."
Good Enough?
Readers April and Mike Klinger of Elizabethville, Pennsylvania, were wondering if their truck would have what it takes to be in the Bragging Rights section of 8-Lug. Well, of course your truck has the right stuff! The list is even too long to run here, but we'll catch the highlights. It's an '01 Ford F-350 Power Stroke 7.3L with an Edge Juice tuner and an in-cab monitor, a Hypertech tuner, Big Head wastegate, larger turbo wheel, and a functional ram-air hood. Sumitomo Traction Head tires are fitted to 22.5-inch Alcoa wheels. The duo installed a Platinum A/C panel and gauge cluster inlay, billet interior accessories, brushed aluminum dash and door panels, a Recon Line of Fire LED stop/reverse light, Recon Big Rig lights, a Westin bull bar, and a bunch of chrome parts. A custom prismatic pearl paintjob sets the truck apart from the rest. This rig is used as a daily driver and also pulls a 36-foot travel trailer. It has 130,000 miles on it to date.
