Ongoing Mods
Chad Hessey of Edwardsburg, Michigan, is currently deployed in the Middle East with the U.S. Air Force, but he really wanted to get his truck into Bragging Rights. The rig has an 8-inch lift with Bilstein 5125 shocks. His 24-inch Rockstar wheels are mounted with 37-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Chad added '08 fender vents (actual ones, not the stick-on variety) and '08 mirrors. A 17-inch drop-down monitor takes care of entertainment. Chad has already bought a host of '08 parts (tailgate, taillights, center console) and a ram-air cowl hood, but he has to get back home before he can install them.
Full-Time Wildlife Student
Chris Vondra lives in Colorado City, Texas, and he's a full-time student at Western Texas College. The 18-year-old is majoring in wildlife management and works part-time for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He drives an early '99 Ford F-250 with a 7.3L V-8. It's a single-cab 4x4, and he runs a 21/2-inch shackle leveling kit. The truck is tuned with a TS Performance programmer and has four Autometer gauges (installed by Cody and Justin at West Texas Diesel Performance in San Angelo, Texas). Rough Country shocks and a single steering stabilizer keep the truck driving straight and true.
Not Quite Ready
Neel Hill asked us how he could get his truck intoour Bragging Rights section, and we told him to send a photo to bob.carpenter@sorc.com with some info and his full name. Neel wrote back that the truck wasn't ready yet, as it still needed paint. But he sent this photo to show us what he's working with. Just in case he never sends an updated photo...we're running this one. The '06 Dodge 3500 Quad Cab is a fully loaded Laramie edition. The custom 13.5-inch Long-arm lift is powdercoated candy raspberry. Black 20-inch KMC Rockstars roll with 41-inch Irok tires. We'll tell you more if he sends a new photo.
