8-Lug Facebook Works!
“I am a fan of 8-Lug magazine, and I posted a picture of my truck on your Facebook page the other day,” Maria Palubeski of Wellesley, Ontario, Canada told us. “Today I received a message asking me to send the photo in to you so it can be in the magazine. Well, here it is!” Maria is proof that posting on our Facebook page (Facebook.com/8LugMagazine) works! The truck is an ’07 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9L diesel engine, four-speed automatic transmission, Edge Attitude programmer, K&N cold-air intake, 5-inch MagnaFlow exhaust, and a lot more.
Loyal Reader
“I have been a loyal reader of the magazine for quite some time now,” wrote 20-year-old Justin Rusconi of Branford, Connecticut. “I’ve always dreamed about having my truck in a magazine, and it’s at a point where I’m very happy with it.” His ’97 Dodge Ram 2500 has the 12-valve Cummins engine with a five-speed manual transmission. A few mods include: twin turbos, a built trans, fuel system, valvetrain work, and more. The truck had a complete cab-off restoration of the entire undercarriage.
Passionate x2
Adam Wilson is 23 years old and states that he has two passions: firefighting and trucks. He’s both a professional and a volunteer firefighter, and this is his first diesel truck. “It’s simple,” Adam wrote, “which is how I like to see trucks—more real world.” The truck is an ’04 Ford Lariat F-350. It has a K&N intake, Silverline exhaust, and EGR delete kit. Adam drives it every day and is planning for more mods, but nothing too major.
Here’s What We Think
A lot of times readers will send a photo of their truck to us (
Bob.Carpenter@sorc.com) and ask us what we think. Sometimes we try to be funny and write back about our thoughts on existential nihilism. And sometimes we immediately schedule the photo to be included in Bragging Rights. This, obviously, is one of the trucks we wanted to include in the magazine. John Chambers originally contacted us while deployed in Iraq. Now that he’s back, he and his friends have finished up all the custom work on his rig. We love his truck almost as much as he does.
