High-Mileage Road Runner
Jim Springer built this Dodge Ram by himself (with some help from good friends) in a 26x26-foot garage. “All the brackets were plasma cut out of a 4x8 sheet of 3⁄16-inch steel,” Jim said, “I also made my own link bars, front and rear. I made the bumpers out of 3⁄16-inch and ¼-inch steel plate, and my good friend painted them.” For power, it has a Cummins diesel with Stage 5 Bully Dog injectors, a K&N cold-air intake, 5-inch exhaust, Edge Juice with Attitude monitor, and a Fass 150-gph lift pump with ½-inch fuel line and a draw straw. Nitrous is on the way. The lift is 4 inches, and there’s a 3-inch body lift, too. The truck runs 18-inch Moto Metal wheels with 355/65-18 Kumho A/T tires. Jim drives this truck every day for work, which averages about 150 to 200 miles a day—and that includes the Hermitage, Pennsylvania, winters, too!
Maryland Machine
“This is my ’06 F-250 Super Duty Lariat with a mild 6-inch lift and 37.5-inch Mickey Thompson tires on 18-inch XD wheels,” wrote Hanover, Maryland’s Frank Mayer. The truck is equipped with an Edge Juice with Attitude programmer and a dual 5-inch exhaust. The interior is upgraded with an in-dash navigation and DVD player. The towing comes in the form of a 28-foot Sunsation Performance edition 496 Mag HO with its own 5-inch exhaust from CMI headers with an IMCO full-hydraulic steering and extension box setup. Future modifications for the truck include increasing the lift to 8 inches for more clearance and installing an onboard air system and a cold air setup.
Beautiful Pickup
Israel “Izzy” Savoie wrote to tell us we should put his truck in Bragging Rights. He also wanted to ask us to run some more features with beautiful women in them. His own wife offered to pose with his truck in a bikini, but it was just a bit cold in Swan Hills, Alberta, Canada at the time they took the photos.
Tennessee Truck
Baron Lowe sent us this photo of his ’12 Ram 3500 Mega Cab that was built by Rocky Thomson at Rocky’s Tuff Trucks & Accessories in Gallatin, Tennessee. The truck has Cruiser alloy Switchblade 904 MB wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler tires. A Roadmaster antisway bar controls the ride. A Hypertech speedometer calibrator makes up for the 34-inch tires. Top Gun Customz control arms were used, but no lift or lowering was added. Amp Research PowerSteps (and a BedStep) make entry and exit easier. A BD steering box stabilizer makes the truck track down the highway in a straight line.
