We've seen several innovative ways of dealing with the notoriously hard to remove clutch fan nut, but the correct (and easiest) way is to rent this kit from Autozone. The long, 40mm wrench and 54mm plate attached to a 1/2-inch drive ratchet were the necessary pieces.
